AP Style plugin updated

By Tom Chambers • 1:55 p.m. Nov. 25, 2009 • 0 Comments 0 Trackbacks

The AP Style Dates and Times plugin for WordPress has undergone a big update.

The plugin reformats dates and times in WordPress so that they adhere to AP Style rules — for all the journalism geeks out there (like me).

plugmeinSo, months are abbreviated correctly (“Jan.” “Feb.” “March” “April” “May” “June” “July” “Aug.” “Sept.” “Oct.” “Nov.” “Dec.”), there’s periods between the letters of “am” and “pm,” 12:00 a.m. becomes “midnight,” etc.

In the latest version, you can now use it to reformat the dates and times associated with your post updates.

It also has a nifty options page in the WordPress admin, so you no longer have to pass parameters in the AP Style template tags.

There’s a full rundown of the plugin’s features and of how to use it here. Check it out.

And Happy Thanksgiving!
