America’s coolest congressman

Thaddeus McCotter, R-Mich., just might be the coolest congressman — and note that he’s a Republican and chairman of the party’s House policy committee.
We need to see more of this guy! He’s smart, makes strong points, witty and good with alliteration. When asked on “Red Eye” about the GOP being in disarray, he said:
When we were growing up we used to look at the Flock of Seagulls’ hair and say that looks in disarray, but there was a whole lot of work that went into sculpting that.
And on the principles he sees at the foundation of the Republican Party:
Our liberty is from God not the government — our sovereignty is in our souls not the soil — our security is through strength not surrender — our prosperity is from the private sector not the public sector — and our truths are self evident not relative.
Why isn’t McCotter the majority leader?
