In addition to Obama’s claim last night that McCain’s campaign ads have been 100 percent negative, The Messiah also flat out lied about his connections to Bill Ayers and ACORN.
From the livedrink last night, it was clear many don’t think these connections are a big deal … but if they aren’t a big deal, why would The One lie about them?
Clearly associating — and WORKING — with someone who set bombs in the Pentagon, Capitol and NYPD headquarters is troubling, especially since in 2001 Ayers showed no regret and said he wished he would have done more.
Surely it wouldn’t be shrugged off as “not a big deal” and dispelled with “you can’t blame someone for what their associates have done” if John McCain had launched his political career in the living room of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh and then served with the bastard on a number of boards as a “community organizer.”
But I guess the standards are different when you’re anointed and your domestic terrorist associate goes on to become a liberal instructor at a university.
Ed Morrissey over at Hot Air has the run down. Be sure to go through his list of links at the bottom of the post.
Morrissey also hits Obama for his answers on the infanticide bill he voted against while in the Illinois State Senate. Is it a case of the topic being above Obama’s pay grade or is he just a stooge for the extremists at NARAL?
UPDATE: Big Mouth Frog has a rundown of the various reasons Obama has given for voting against (or was it present?) protecting babies that survive abortions in Illinois. Truly amazing, and disturbing. Even The One can’t get his answer straight, and one would think that in 2008, 35 years after Roe v. Wade, a politician running for president would have a clear answer on abortion — whether he’s prolife or prochoice.
