Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb

This Daily Show clip is AWESOME! Especially because it makes fun of all the talking heads going nuts over the Al Sharpton – Mitt Romney faux battle.
A few thoughts:
Why did Sharpton back down? All he did was say what the majority of Christians believe — that Mormonism is not part of Christianity. That’s something Romney is going to have deal with if he thinks he can win the nomination (which he won’t anyway).
Instead, Romney calls Sharpton a bigot? You’ve got to be kidding. We’re now being called bigots for pointing out differences in religious belief? Man, I must be REALLY bigoted, I do that all the time. What does that make me when I call Hillary a liberal?
This country is still majority Christian, especially in the Republican primaries. Romney’s making a huge mistake calling the faithful bigots for, well, being faithful. Go to back to Massachusetts.
It’s all pretty ridiculous, but it gives me a chance to talk about two of the favorite (and socially taboo) topics: religion and politics.
And just to make sure I can take a jab at Mormonism, here’s that great South Park episode, “All About the Mormons.”
